v6 auto guys, how many miles are you getting per tank??

roughly whats your average fuel mileage

Ive got the 3.4 and I fill up about every 200 miles. I did go about 300 miles before, but I figured that was pushing it.

 

Ive got a 3.8 with 64k 5 spd. and i get roughly 431miles per tank. And thats not all highway miles!

 

1998 3.8L with 140,000 miles.

13 gallons @ 320 MPT.

 

'01 3.8L w/auto on Shell Regular @ 70 mph w/cruise = 25 mpg or 14 gal x 25 mpg = 350 miles. With AC on, goes down to 23 mpg. The clock reads 130 k.

I did get 32 mpg ONCE, tooling around Cape May, NJ (read as flat and sea level) using 93 octane fuel and doing 35 mph.

 

i think theres somwthing wrong with my car then...i have a '99 3.8 5spd. and i only get about 200-230 mile per tank....i wonder why.

 

Check engine light on?

 

replace your spark plugs and check your rotors for hills and valleys, check air filter and fuel filter and Tire pressure. you may just need a few things here and there to get better MPG

 

Without a doubt. O2 sensors play a major role. A pal of mine was suffering terrible MPG and after he changed two pre cat O2 sensors, it improved drastically.

 

'98 3.8 5spd. Average 320 miles per fill-up @11-13.5 gallons (I've seen 33 mpg, but average 29-22 mpg typically with mixed driving).
