I recently installed headers & magniflow exhaust . I feel i can get more out of my 3.8 I wonder if i should improve the air flow
& posibly a performance chip. Jet performance has a harness chip but is it worth it ?

 

Look Into Moroso CAIs Or K&N Has A CAI Too. They Are Both About The Same Price & Would Put Up Close To The Same Hp Gains As Eachother.

As For Chips.......... Do Some Reasearch.

If Your Gunna Pay Good Money For Some "Chip" That Just Magically Gives You 30 Hp, You Might As Well Just Get Your PCM Tuned.

this along with some other stuff i keep posting needs to be stickeied but...... you cannot i repeat cannot chip a 4th gen Fbody. when you add the chip its going to do one thing and that is mess with you MAF to make you run richer.... but since they dont make it so theres more air coming in to burn with the addtional fuel essntially you get a nice smell outa the pipes. but lets say it worth it to you just for the smell.well three or four days down the line your pcm is going to relize that your running rich and then retune itself right on back to stock.

 

get a cam if your looking for spending 300.

dont get a cam.... the cam shaft is only 300 bones but you need roller 100 buck rockers nother 100 lifters 100 bucoroos and push rods 100 bucks ....all that to make a cam worth it so now your up to 700 bucks and you have to do one of the most difficult installs in car modifaction

 

get all the bolt ons you can....

look into underdriven pullys

throttle body.

port and polish job

The Faster You Can Make Air Flow In And Out Of Your Engine, The Faster It Will Go.

 

what everybody forgets to mod in the 6s is the drivetrain part of the issue with out cars is that we have a open differantail and a big clunky two peice steel drive shaft.... freeing up the parts that are limiting your horse power is just as if not more important than adding more

Rear Ends
Rear Gears.
Does It Still Have Rear Drums?

Get A Shift Kit

a gm 9.5 28 spline posi is the replacement that works for our cars if you can get lucky and get one outa a S-10 in a junkyard itll save you some cash
