Default Lights Dimming

Well i had another question. Ive noticed when i am driving the headlights will dim ocasionally. for instance when i came off the interstate the other night slowing down and stopping at the light my headlights would dim noticably then come back up. I know the battery is going dead so im getting ready to replace that and I had pepboys check the alternator (for what ever that was worth) and they said it was ok. But anyother ideas? Could it be just the battery? I know the battery is going bad because if i have to turn the car off and restart it quickly it is a hard start. But other than that it starts normally.

If you have aftermarket anything on these cars that draw current, the lights will dim. Happens on my 95 3.4L all the time. I upgraded the "Big 3" and that took care of the problem for the most part. I have HID's x4, 2 100W fog lights, sound system and manual fan switch. All is good.

What are the "Big 3" you may ask...

Here you go.

I hope this helps.
