Check the fuses with a multimeter. Sometimes they go bad, and you can't see it. I had that happen in one of my cars.

Check all your fuses like he said. Also make sure you've got good contact with your negative battery or ground cable. If you lose your ground cable the computer goes beserk and the engine starts to run really rough. You don't mention this but it's obvious you lost a ton all of a sudden. Check the fuses. Also determine which fuse is for the lights specifically that you don't have. Take your multimeter and check to make sure that there is voltage running across the fuse sockets and basically through this method trace back where you lost power from. If there's no voltage in the fuse box period at these sockets then you've lost wiring leading up to the fuse box. Just keep tracking back until you find voltage or fried wiring. It's a treat I know but that's how you find your short or break.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom has the right plan. Double check your fuses and the block with a multimeter. You can get them at WallyWorld for a few bucks. They aren't profesional grade, but they work fine for stuff like this. It almost sounds like a short happened.
