Default Launch and Shifting Point

Does anyone know bout the best RPMz to launch and shift is...People tell me that i should just letin rev to 6000 Rz but others tell me thats too high im just losing power and wasting time



any input on this

depends on your tires. 1500 for street tires, 2000 for drag radials and 2500 for drag slicks. also slowly give it gas dont just stomp on it as you take off. best place to shift at is around 5500 rpm this way you'll hit roughly 4500 in the next gear which is your peak hp point. you'll have to play around with that to get its perfect tho.

Curious. V6 or V8? Still stock? Stock gears? Tires? Just wondering.

I launch at 2200, stock a4, 3.42, and street tires spraying nitrous off the line. 2.0 60'

Also what v6 engine do you have? If its a 3.4 then socom is your guy. the 3.8 is alot more torquer then the 3.4 which is why the rpms are a bit lower.

arite thnx for the info...its a v6 5speed stock as a rock...i dump it a like 3000 an get in it easy my tire only bark off the line and they are just street tires

ok a little off the subject but does anyone know why my i can pull the RPMz up to like 3000 n dump the clutch and the motor just die down then act really weak when i get going

Your clutch is most likely slipping. How many miles are on your clutch?
