Default kinda late but ill ask

ok im went to 5 muffler/car places (midas, and some other places)
all of them said there is no need to change out the pipe going from the cat to the muffler cuz it was fine the way is was. (no dents or cracks or rust)

Midas wanted 470 for just a muffler with dual outlets and tips. and it went down from there till i found a good place that only charged me 260.

From what i understood is that magnaflow is not a good brand but wicked flo is better. Flowmaster is copied by everyone and that some actually are made better than flowmaster.

I bought a FullBlown muffler and the guy said that its comparable to flowmaster but the internal diameter is 3" compaired to 2.5".

LOL so the question im asking is does all this make sense to someone who understands this more than me? also was this a good buy?

(i personally think it sounds good for a v6 but i dont have a good enough camera that will record the bassier tone or i would put up a sound clip)

Magnaflow makes great mufflers. Magnaflow boasts great performance over Flowmaster. You can do the install yourself with a couple of U clamps and a hacksaw, if you are just changing the muffler out.

oh trust me im happy with the one i got. but one day after college or when i go over a bump to fast and it just rips the muffler off ill probably go buy headers and a magnaflow muffler to get the complete sound and performance
