Does K & N make a FIPK kit for a 96 3.8? I did not see it listed SFC

I don't think they make a specific one, but RKSport has a kit worth looking at. Looks like a K&N for an lt-1, but with the extra section to make it to the throttle body. http://www.rksport.com/main/part_det...=1&catid=3

 

that is what I am looking for, I saw that slp made one but it was like 400.00 dollars. I want to have cash for exhaust also. I am thinking about the flow master american thunder. would a flow master 40 or 80 series and duel pipes help or do i need the whole cat system to get the power gains

 

A catback would net you more power than just replacing the muffler.

 

Unimpressed with K&N quality -- SLP is better built/tested.

Marylandspeed.com or ebay will have it cheaper...

liberty I just ordered the slp kit at marylandspeed, it is on sale for 269.95. Any tips on the install ie( parts to replace while I am tearing it apart) or any things I should look for
