No Actually in 1995 3800 Series II V6 (L36 3.8L) was introduced midyear, most were available only in California. A 200hp V6 (RPO L36) was optional with base coupes and convertibles. Available in 1995 with automatic only; not available early.
In 1996 the L36 3.8L V6 became standard in the coupe, and the weak 3.4L was dropped.
