Just out of storage Monday and already problems!
97 3.8L. Since the snow is starting to meltI decided to get my Camaro out of storage Monday. Just so figures it would snow all day Monday. So I changed the oil, etc. and the engine light comes on. Run it in the computer and it's the thermostat, not a big problem, replaced it this morning and the light goes off. Not less than 20 km later down the road, my cat starts rattling extremely loud (the honeycomb was a bit loose before, just keeping cat on til tomorrow whenI get emmisions test then its off) and my car starts shaking bad and the throttle is non responsive. I figure the loose honeycomb is blocking the exhuast. All I can get my car to do is 50 km/h down the highway til i get to my dads shop were i resort to hammering away at the bottom of the cat. Turns out that worked, car runs fine now but engine light is on again. So I head home and I meet brother on the road, shut my car off, and then it takes 20 min to start back up. (battery is fine just wouldnt start). So just 30 min ago I dropped my car off at the mechanics, hopefully all it needs is a new cat, and hopefully the **** I knocked loose triggered the sensor behind the cat to turn the engine light on.

If your cat isnt working properly yes that will throw a code. Otherwise when it wouldnt start what did it sound like? Was it cranking at all or just completely dead? I had some trouble with my car starting after it had ran a while back and it turned out the fuel pressure regulator was shot. Little more info would be awesome though
