RE: Invest all you want on your V6.
as you all know ive always been a proponent of moding a 6. but i will say there is a point were it stops. now catching up to a Z28 you can often do cheaper than buying a Z. in some case you can get ahead of even a LS1 fbody for about the same chunk of change. However as you start to go past that level of potential particularly below the high 11's mark the 3.8 begins to reach its limits yes there are 8-9 second 3.8s out there but those were built to prove a point. not becuse they were the most cost effective gettingLS1 into the 10s is gonna be cheaper just because your already so moded to get you 3.8 to the 12s much less the 11s. but lets face it if youve got a 11-12 second v6 its complete awesome anyways lol.

Yeah Meteor. I've raced several LT1 Camaros and it blows their mind when I'm on their door at the end of a race lol. If I can save enough to get a stall, cam, and retune... I'd eat me some LT1s for lunch and give an LS1 a run for its money =D I do all the work myself so I really cut losses on modding my V6. I have less than 5 grand in the car total including buying it AND my new engine and run mid-high 14s all day long ya kno? It's always nice when your Dad owns his own garage haha

you guys are a bunch of morons, yeah youre the underdog and thats where you will stay, first of all LT1s and LS1s actually get better highway mileage than v6s, and if you really want to save gas go buy a honda.if you think you can keep up with a lt1 come to me,i WILL leave you behind a week.no were not haters, were just not retarded like you guys are.some people just dont belong in a fbody, why dont you guys go to civic forums

Do you feel better now? I suggest you get your rear out of here buddy. By the way, I'm also on another forum where many members are runing in the 11's-12's in v6 camaros/firebirds. I hate idiots like you who think they're all high and mighty.

carful alih i smell hammer...... but frankly as if i havent proven this 100 times your wrong. sorry buddy but with 7000 bucks in inculding the car itself im going to a have a 6er that more than a match for a stock LT1. and as ive shown here in my area LT1 Z's are going at around the 9k mark with double my milage. and hate to tell you buddy when they rate a V8 sports car for mpg they baby it like mad to make it look better if i baby my car itll get 30 highway.... and as far as LS1 getting them is about a 11-12 grand job here again with double my miles and with the 7000 in it should be around 300-310 to the crank im pretty sure i can pick up a bit more than another 50 horse power for another 5 grand there alih. but its a matter of prefrance why dont you let us have ours we dont come into off topic and bother you.
