Did you put in OEM fuel injectors or cheap aftermarket parts store ones? If aftermarket, that could be the cause if one is leaky (internally) or if they're not all flowing the same.

still gets bad mileage. Feels like theres a sticking injector or 2 keeping it at high idle. turned it off tonight and it was at 1500 warm idle.

$15.96 rockauto ones. was suppose to trade the car off so it wasnt going to matter to me. Kid doesnt want it now since it idles higher. i even changed out the map sensor thinking it would help. Also why is there a maf sensor on my car if it wasnt factory with one?/

Might be time to get my grand marquis ready for the road if i cant fix this car or sell it. Tired of 150 mile tank full to empty trips.

What motor do you have? all 3.8's have a maf, guessing you the 3.4.

Quite possibly. There are some things you don't want to cheap out on, to come back and bite you in the ars. Injectors is one. 02 sensors is another. One more important one is your significant other.
