should idle at about 450 rpms with iac closed all the way. to set base idle you need to have the iac closed and the system in diagnostic mode, in this mode iac should be closed all the way, if not its not set right. to set idle adjust set screw.

 

With IAC closed on cold start / not running for 1+hr, idle is ~1k. After about 5 minutes to warm up, idle shifts to 1.4k-1.6k. If you happen to have to procedure for relearning as you say, please let me know. I didn't think you could change the screw position on the V6. I could be wrong though.
