Before you go trying all that, is the idle that high when you first start the car with the engine cold? My car will idle at 1100 until the engine is up to temp which is a bit before the 210 mark on the temp guage.

It will idle high for a couple minutes. If it does not drop down, swab out the throttle body with a good cleaner and put a drop of oil on the butterfly and spring.

Once the engine is up to temp, it should idle around 600 RPM.

Cool

had the same issue, remove the Idle control sensor, spray with carb cleaner, the pin will be adjusted out, push back in with a back and forth motion, DO NOT TWIST. reinstall using one drop of oil on o-ring. start the car, it will idle about 2500 rpm, dont worry, shut off engine, wait about 10 seconds, restart, should idle around 800-1000 rpm again. this is in the HAYNES MANUAL. about 15 bucks in advanced auto parts. great buy, you'll need it later on, very helpful.
