Default I think I really F-ed up.

So today is a rainy crappy Sat. Besides the fact that I had to get up @5 to go to work to be the guy everybody asked to do everything because they know I will and know I will do it right. Also I cant stand my wife as of late, so its not going so good. I thought it would make me feel better by going to the junk yard and walking around. Kinda did. So on my way home I deceided to beat on my car. I found a nice big parking lot, and started making myself dizzy. Well, after I was done, I hear a....um...lets just say a noise that the engine isnt supposed to make. I have heard engine knocks before, but I am unsure of this noise. Sounds like a really loud lifter, almost like a bad water pump bearing. I am just praying to the Chevy G0ds that I didnt spin a bearing. I hate saying this, but my oil PSI has droped to about 22 PSI at idle now. It was higher before, It still gets 60PSI (via mechanical guage.) Any ideas...The only good thing is she is going away for the winter very soon, It would really suck if I had todo an engine swap over the winter....Anyone have an extra572 crate engine I can have?

I know powersteering pumps don't like when you do that.

I have allready ordered a new set of rod bearings. Should be fairly simple to swap them out. Just rinse, lather, repeat.

When you go around in circles the oil pump starves because the oil sloshes to the side of the oil pan. That is why circle track racers have special oil pans. Most likely you damaged a bearing. If it is a spun rod bearing, you should either have the rod resized or replaced, otherwise you will be fixing the same trouble in a few days. Next time do figure 8s.

I have till April to get it fixed, I am in no rush..I screwed up, and I am pissed @ myself. Well, not really mad, I kinda like projects like this. Its even better when I have a good window to get it finished.
