Electric water pump would be a good idea to free up power anyways but what do they cost?

On a street car, I wouldn't run an electric water pump unless it was necessary for fitment purposes, but that's me. Usually when a mechanical water pump fails, it leaks, but you could still limp home. An electric pump failure could mean it's motor quit, meaning you're stranded.
Leave the belt on. For ac if it's turned off the compressor wheel is free spinning. Turn off everything that takes power. Get rid of any aftermarket speakers that are in a speaker box. Leave windows up. If it's a t-top take out that glass. Get rid of all seats but drivers. Change oil a few days before with fully synthetic. Run an engine cleaner in the oil to remove any sludge 20 min before the oil change. Sea foam the intake. Fuel system cleaner. And you want 1/2 - 3/4 of a tank of gas. You'll need it for traction. Remove the cover on the air filter and put 2 thin straineds of tape around to keep the filter in place. On strand at the very top and on at the bottom. This will allow more air to flow into the engine. Cold air would be alot better but this is the next best thing. And if you have skinny front tires put them on. Less rolling resistance = faster time. Also tree him. Get off the line first. Rev upto 1500 rpm and hold it there until the green light shines. Any higher and tires will spin. Any less and you'll bog down. Then hold that pedal as far down as it will go. Put your seat a little close to the front for better control. Don't make sudden turns of the steering wheel. You lose speed and possibly control.
