Default i almost dont want to post this

well since ive moved into my new appartment i cant change my own oil so i took it to a little shop to get it changed and this guy comes out and says hey we found this its a minisucle(spelling) oil leak stated that it leaking as slow as it possibley could and still be a leak....they told me as long as i top off the oil periodically wont be any big problem ......but they also told me just to get at the place that its leaking from would have to drop the engine and tranny out ........1000 bucks yay......

tell them to scroo them selves, and run some rear mail sealer through your engine. That will usually take car of any small oil leaks. But that stuff works!

It's good to know I'm not the only one they try to screw at that place. The first time I went to a well known place after i moved home they told me I needed a new distributor cap on my 1994 V6. I wasyeah, sure i'll go to autozone and walked out.

I had the same issue. I took it to this place around the corner cause i was in a hurry to go ahead and get the oil changed, and the guy tells me i have a super slow seal leak? That it would be around 600- 700 to fix. Took it to my regular mechanic to get my oil changed next time around, and he fixed it for free. Said all he did was tighten Oil pan Gasket. GET 2nd Opinions....
