How to tell if 3.4L or 3.8L?
I have a 1997 Camaro Convertible V6. Automatic transmission with 40k miles. I'm not sure how to tell if it is a 3.4L engine, or 3.8L. Can anyone help me out and tell me how to find out?

Ofcorse, all of this would be a waist of your time, as in 1997 they only had the 3.8, no 3.4.

The quick answer is this: You have a 3.8.
1993-1996 = 3.4
1997-2002 = 3.8
The quick answer is this: You have a 3.8.
1993-1996 = 3.4
1997-2002 = 3.8
93-95 = 3.4
95-02 = 3.8
In 1995, they still had the 3.4, except for in califorina which got the 3800 a year early, becuase of emissions.

Thank you for the help guys.
That made me chuckle, lol. Yes, it has extremly low miles for an 11 year old car. It was a condo car, an old man from up north owned it, and only drove it when he came to Florida in the winter. He got too old for it and sold it. Payed 4,900$ for it.
