i've got a 96 3.8l camaro with 200hp stock but i got a flowmaster 80 series duel exhaust,bosh platnium spark plugs and wires,and i've got this st tuning performance chip that shuld give me 10hp says the manufacture,and i orderd a rk cold air intake that i'm going to get in the next week so do u guys think i can take a 94 5.0 215hp mustang ive got a automatic by the way

 

I'd say it being automatic will hurt you. Espessially if you're up against a manual.

Didn't know the 5.0's only have 215hp stock.. learn something new every day.

 

In my 2000 camaro V6 i hung perty well with a 1995 mustang 5.0 but he still be me his was standard and mine is automatic. I have heard that flowmaster give between 15-35 horsepower but i am not too sure bout that. I got 18 horses out of mine.

 

Yeah I got an 80 series flowmaster on mine as well and could feel the difference but havent checked the difference in the hp. It sounds good just wish I could get a deeper growl. Any idea's?

 

You could get some headers . It MIGHT give it a deeper growl.

 

Jaysan: How do you know you got 18 hp out of a flowmaster muffler? That seems somewhat doubtful.

96Camaro3800II: It will be a good race with the 5.0. Stock I don't think those things are fast. I would say you could take him.

 

thats a pretty close race i'd probably have to say it depends on the drivers
