I'm wondering summit says there flywheel is light and gives 15hp *is this true if so I know it will make my car ride rough but how rough and just at idle?*
My a/c doesn't work.... how much hp will I gain if I take it off the whole unit I'll still have heat correct? and do I need to do anything to it so I don't get all the freeze whatever on me and burn my skin....
Thinking of an exhuast...
I took off half of the intake* the part that makes the air go C to get into the filter...* can this hurt?
Turn distributar cap *turn up timing* not sure how much or how to do this though.....
Strip the car and racing seats....

What kind of horsepower do you think I'm looking at geting>

I dunno if this will work just a brainstorming thing but anyone know if I could put hood pins on a peice of sheet metal..... Anything I can take off....Or add..... oh and a freidn of mine has a 2.8L engine and trany the trany manual would it be worth puting that in how do I do the conversion? any other thing you can think of would be GREATLY APRECIATED!....

Thought of cams and haeds ext but not the money...

Oh and I have the iroc-Z rims does this do anything?

 

by the way i'm on sr22 that's why I keep the 2.8 ha ha ya its EXPENSIVE That's why I don't just get the iroc-z..... can i still daily the car with the aluminum *light flywheel* go on road trips ext?

 

you have to consider rwhp...not just hp because it's all about getting power to the wheels

 

Flywheel weight does not change horsepower. A lighter flywheel will allow the engine to get to top revs quicker because of less inertia. However, it will have less energy to carry into the next shift, which can make the engine more prone to bog. With a 2.8 it makes little difference to what you do to the engine, and it will always be low on power. Just keep it running good and enjoy the car for what it is.
