i believe my problem is a broken intake gasket and not a head gasket. before i tackle this i want to know how hard of a job it is going to be. how would you go about this? how many bolts are in the back where you can barley fit your hand?

ok im not to well versed in the v6 but i did move your thread to the v6 section, that should help to get your question answered.

 

its not hard if you know what your doing as for the hard to reach part you can very easly drop the motor down 6 inches by putting a jack under the k member and removing the 6 bolts that hold it up and releasing the jack some

on a scale of 1-10 10 being im just gunna scrap her id give this job a 3-4 should take 2-3 hours depending on automotive knowledge

 

By the book it takes 5 hours to do both UIM and LIM gaskets. The hardest part is getting the fuel rail, and wiring out of the way. The wiring harness can be moved but all front engine connections will have to be unplugged and grounds unbolted. The book says to do this but you can just move them aside and it should be fine, in the way but fine.
