Default How does your Camaro run in the cold?

With temperatures being as low as they are in Chicago (9 Degrees right now). I can certainly tell you that it takes a little more "umph" to get mine started.

Funny enough, I noticed that only when it's this cold, my Driveshaft makes all sorts of noises for some odd reason. When it's warmer like 25-35 degrees, it's quiet as a whistle, but when it's this cold it makes noises when I slow down, accelerate and esepcially when I go over bumps.

Any Ideas, and how does yours run?

your driveshaft makes noise? how do you know its your driveshaft?? other than that it was 14 today when i left for work at noon, -2 now and i just got home. I dont notice any other noises other than things like the t-tops rattle alot more because the rubber is darn near frozen. mine runs fine, it actually feels faster at WOT in the cold than the hot, but i know its the whole cold air is denser than hot air thing. the only thing i hate is how quickly the rear defroster shuts off......does it over heat or something?

Well, I know it's my Driveshaft because it was making noises right before it snapped on me while I was driving 2 weeks ago. I'm taking it in today to have it looked at, but my baby had a little trouble firing up this morning (-2 degrees)

well they say your s'pose to start a engine least once a week, especially alluminum engines and 2-strokes. cuz after about a week the oil seeps back down to pan, but i dont think that has anything to do with starting... lol. sometimes when i started mine i got dead spots. nothing would happen. turn key back then forward again and it'd start right up.

One Thing I do hate it when you open your doors in the cold and the window gets stuck to the weatherstripping around the edge of the window. It's hard to pull and if you pull too hard it loosens the stability of the window in the door.
