I attached the bottom shock bolt first then cut the little tie that holds the shock collapsed and guided the top into the hole where the carpet is. I found that much easier than trying to push up on the bottom of the shock to align the bolt on the bottom.

So jack it up, throw it on a jack stand, than un-bolt the bottom from the axle, take off the top, than re-bolt the bottom than the top?

Just take a look under the car, if you know what a shock looks like then you see where it's bolted at. But it's bolted right next to the spring perches, which are right at the ends of the axle.

So, i may possibly kill someone. The shock snapped off at the place where it connects to the axle. I got the top part out and removed the shock. Now i just need to find a way to get the bolt off where it screws onto the axle. It took a couple hours to get it to break free, but now the back part of it wants to just keep spinning. I grabbed onto it with a vise, but no luck. I didnt expect it to be this much of a ***** lol

Isn't that just a bolt that goes through the shock and mount on the axle? I put a set on a few months back but can't remember. If so, try to tap it out with a hammer or soak it with PB blaster for a few hours.

You can always just cut the bolt off, dremel or similar works good. Those bolts can get pretty bad in the right weather.

NO CUTTING NEEDED, just remove the appropriate screws and quarter panel trim (I think I recall you need to remove the coat hanger to get some off) and you can roll it back.

Don't listen to these hack-job hammer mechanics! ;-)
