how do I take this out?
Someone told me to take these out to give my car a little kick
1)Remove smog pump belt
2)Plug emissions exhaust manifold air supply
3)hollow catalylic converter
4)position spark plug positioning face electrode towards exhuast valve..
5) Open air element
I have the 2.8 liter 173ci fuel injected leme know if anyone has done this or has any tips..........
Also I just got nos and am having problems hooking it up thanks, Nick

I doubt you even get a seat-of-the-pants kick from all that stuff listed, which is a reach to begin with...
Extra power, well, the formula is still the same as it was in the early days.
Build up the engine.
Don't bother taking stuff off, since you aren't increasing the output from the crankshaft anyway.

ya It would be cheaper to just get an 8 but this car means something to me I just dont want to put that much money into it I'm kinda on a budget I'm thining about going nos too
Your kinda beatting a dead horse. You could put all your stuff on a 3.1or the HT3.4. It is 160 hp I think. And as for indexing spark plugs, dont waste your time. You'll never notice it.
I understand that but I'm cheap and don't expect to get much outa of this car that is why I'm willing to take out the catalyic converter rather then get a real exhuast I know I will only be geting around 170----3.1 plus the time it would take to put a 3.1 this car is just for fun we are planing to bag it ourselves and paint it thanks nick
opps not 170 that a lil high haha I wish but ya then I'm puting 10lb nos bottle here soon to help.... I mean this car by no means will be staying up with anyone special just something to be cool..... Nick what do you guys think I"ll be geting with the lil mods forget the nos for now....
Okay, first of all, I hope that your motor is built up to handle NOS because I was at at our local drag strip and watched someone scatter their V6 when they dropped a fogger system into a stock camaro and just completly shot pieces everywhere. Bad Thing, second of all, I don't know where your from but here in IL, cutting out the Cat is illegal and you can get fines for it because its extremly loud, not nessicarily good for the ozone either but hey. I would just advise you to put stuff into your engine thats going to allow it to handle the No2 , (i.e. pistons, heads, intake manifold, etc...) but thats just what I'd do.
