Default Horrible misfire

Hey everyone. I have a 1997 Camaro V6 3.8 with a bad misfire. The code reads that the third cylinder is misfiring. I get no power from the car at all and the check engine light blinks, which I have read in other threads is common in a misfire. I have replaced plugs, wires, ignition coil that deals with the third cylinder, and even the post-cat O2 sensor. These were suggestions that were made to me by the shop when I took it in but it has not been any better. Could we be looking at a clogged injector?

Twice now, on the same car, I've had a specific cylinder misfire issue. The problem wasn't any of the things you tried either. So I pulled the injector, removed the o-rings, soaked and swished it around in a small pill container filled with carb cleaner, put it back in, and the engine ran like a champ. I had it in the cleaner for at least a good hour while doing other stuff, and would give it a shake now and then. Not saying that will take care of your problem, but it's been a cheap ($0) fix twice for me now. Btw, two tanks of gas with fuel injector cleaner did diddly for the problem.

Your cat could be plugged. Same thing happened to my Grand AM when the cat got plugged.
