Default High pitched wine out of rearend

Ok we just had the dif redone everything but like 2 gears. Now when I pushed the gas in to just maintain speed i hear this really loud high pitched wine. now I always thought that when you replace gears in anything u dont mesh new with old because of the wear? We really dont have the time or the money to get it fix now. our 97 suburban is going in to get its rearend redone a second time(first time was same place that did my rearend in the maro) and moms car blew a tire. so it prolly wont be getting fixed anytime soon. im just wondering if you guys have an opinion on it to maybe pin point the problem.

not enough dif fluid maybe friction is causing it? or your old and new gears are not getting along back there, not sure. i wouldnt drive it much until you can get it looked at and fixed, dont wanna risk losing your *** on the freeway lol.

I have a similar noise coming from my rearend actually... its only if i let off the gas and let the engine slow the car down though.
should I be concerned about this on the freeway?
since I'll be driving 4 hours to a beach house with it next moth...
it would suck bigtime if i lost my *** then.

big cat check your universal joints and if u have the two piece drive line check the carrier bearing. also might be a good time to pick up a one piece driveline. nice lookin car and welcome to the forum.

And any tips for changing/checking fluids?
