Can't bypass the scurity module because the computer wants to see the coded signal coming from it, otherwise it won't fire the injectors. What is usually done is to fool the security module that the proper key is always there, and then it tells the computer all is well.

i wasnt talking about the security module, i just noticed he has a 5spd tranny i thought it was the automatic and they are equipped with a neutral safety switch which prevents the engine from starting in any gear but neautral or park. on the manual tranny's they have a clutch switch of course which prevents start unless the clutch is engaged. sorry for the mix up but when he said they installed a momentary push button because "When I went to get my starter changed they had a hell of a time because i guess the safety neutral switch went out so they had to put in a push button start." so i assumed it was a auto.

Mine did the same thing off and on for awhile...
Disconnecting the battery didn't do any good.
I had to wait 3 minutes every time it did that (but sometimes the security thing was triggered multiple times in a row, lol.).
I went to a local locksmith where they tested the key and found a bad resistor. Got a new one made for $20.
Don't wait any longer, you could end up stranded.
