help put another 3800 back on the road wiring question
hello there im new to your forum . I bought a nice v6 1996 camaro thats been sitting since 2001 due to bad head gasket.
well i payed a guy to change the motor .. he cut the main wiring loom that goes from what i think is the ecm? ( passengers side firewall) he cut it and well kinda did not even putting the motor in . I only payed him 200.00 for no big loss but now i have to finish the project. he just did the easy work and left and did not contact me . Just leaves me with a shinny camaro in my driveway with no motor in it .
i connected all the wires back on that harness ( about 20 wires) does it matter if there say like 2 oranges or blacks or so on . or is it just match the colors
also there is a copper ground strap thats on the drivers side down under the fender thats not hooked up ... were do i hook this to . I got the motor back in.AND its not getting any fuel and when i plug a computer into the port it reads no system detected.. were do i go from here.

tthe copper strap can go any where on the block itself, i had to put mine by the water pump. the strap is needed otherwise the engine wont run at all.... and he never had to cut any wires ..... i did mine and all i did was unplug everything
