Headers are almost touching my steering joint - Is this OK?

The pictures should speak for themselves - is this normal for headers? The ones I installed are Pacesetters on the 3800. I actually already ground down the steering joint against my good judgment to increase the clearance somewhat, but its still really close and makes me nervous.
Thanks all

i dont know if i would say its fine. if it keeps rubbing it could wear a hole throw the header. if it was me i would see if there is a way to heat the pipe and bend it a little give you some more room. just an idea

^ It's not rubbing - the pictures were taken when the clearance was at a minimum.
I was worried that if the motor mount weakened and let the motor sag on the side that it might start hitting. Wouldn't be good to have the steering lock up because the header pipe was in the way.

As long as it's clear now, you're fine. Just keep an eye on it if it worries you. But I wouldn't expect any engine settling to be happening. Even if it was dragging on the headers now, it wouldn't lock up your steering. But it would wind up grinding a dent into the headers over time.

Had headers on my 3.8 for about 2 years now and they're damn close to the steering arms. It's no big deal. The engine rocks to the passenger side when you give it the juice so it's no biggie.
