Default head gasket

My wife has a 99 v6 camaro. And has the begining signs if a blown head gasket. A little coolant in the oil about four minutes worth of faint white smoke out the exhaust. And losing coolant. I don't have the time or extra cash for a motor or head job. Any opinions on blue devil head gasket repair? At least for a temporary fix? It is her DD and mine is straight drive and tried teaching her but was a no go. It isn't a problem of doing the job it's just time and money.

the blue devil does ok and yea it is temp fix. Follow the directions on the bottle it will get you buy for a bit. If you are looking into a new engine check out my thread here on this forum about where you can source a new 3.8L from and it will save you alot of money. For some odd reason the yards around here want a mint for Camaro/FB 3.8L engines but the FWD versions are cheap

No no no NO don't put the stop leak crap on there. It will cause more problems than it solves. it clog Thermostats and water pumps and not to mention hoses.

I know what it's like, things never break or go out at a convenient time.

FYI coolant in the oil is not a normal syptom of a blown headgasket. It is possible it is that a headgasket in the later stages of being blown will allow enough coolant in the the cylinder during cool down that it can make its way to the oil but it well after the car is spewing coolant into the overflow at start up and missing.

Check you intake for leaks. Coolant in the oil will ruin the motor every time if left in there. There is a chemical reaction between the coolant and the bearings. It will strip the babbit off the bearing like paint remover to paint.
