Yeah, I have looked into several sites. One person managed to pull something like that off, but I think he namely altered the unit he was installing. I happen to have a link to it for reference of some kind, ha. http://bellsouthpwp.net/m/u/mulgeary/Hella90/ So that was interesting. Yeah, replacing the whole housing seems a bit extreme and is likely time consuming far beyond anyones expectation.

Yea, I have seen a few Camaro's like that. It looks more aesthetically pleasing to see a solid unit such as the OEM housings w/ Halo's in them like the 98's, or HID's on a 93-97's. The halo's on a 93-97 just don't look right at all.

But, to each is their own. I can't wait for my stupid HID's to come. I got my LED's in the mail today. I'm looking forward to riping the dash apart tomorrow to install them. The red gauge cluster is going to look so badass.

Ha. Well, I hope they turn out well for you. Do you have a link to what(or where) you purchased(it)? I am looking to alter the lighting of my instrument cluster as well. Some of the lights are dim, or have gone out due to age. Is it a gauge cluster light, or a specific item to install?

If you are talking about my gauge cluster project I'm working on today it's just changing each individual light. You can find gauge's all over the place.. I really like this one but, I can't find it for the V6's.

I purchased all my LED through Superbrightled and here is the tutorial on how to change the lights in your cluster, headlight switch, etc. He provides a list of what led's are needed. This list is a little more detailed and easier to read... However, its from an LS1 forum so it's possible its for a V8 cluster or something. That's the site I used so I will tell you today how accurate it was. ><
