Hi, Y'all -- I'll just run across a round track oil pan 71/2"deep w/ kick out ,trap door and the whole nine yards- brass oil pump pick-up and crinkle red paint -$30.
here is the snag Will this pan work on my 1978 350Camaro . andwill a round track pan be safe to use it?? I'm hearing that you can't use ??? and when I ask why i'm not getting a really good answer.

Iunderstand that the oil runs to the one side on round track cars But if
I'm just driving around town or on the hi-way what is the big deal?
if the oil is to the rght level and the pick-up is picking -up oil ta-da should this not work.
If i'm wrong Please Please let me know i'm not about to trash this engine over a $30 oil pan.
ant how I have a oil timey chrome sb oil pan -home made and chromed at work ( worked at Westinghouse 40 years ago) Ok, load me up with good answers
