My steering wheel does actually make that whine noise when I turn it, you hear it more if I just stand still turning my steering wheel left and right.

Wow, you give up easy. Next problem will be on the SS, and he'll say "This blows I'm selling this and picking up a 5th Gen SS".

Wheel shaking and hard steering are rarly caused by the same thing. Wheel shake on a car that was just aligned will almost always come back to the wheels and tires.

Did you tell your mechainc the problems? With the amount of work they did they should have had no problem figuring out what was going on at no or little additional cost.

We used to have to all but beat information out of customes. Customers used to come in and say the car needs a tuneup. I would do the tune up and then the car would come back the next day and the owner would say "you didn't fix the car its still hard to start when its hot"

5th Gen. Camaro wouldn't be bad lol, just too expensive. Gorn, so the tires have to get used to the alignment?

If you have uneven wear, feathering, etc then it will definitely ride different after alignment because you are riding on a different wear pattern on the tire.
