Default Good or bad idea?

So I am a really big fan of the Camaro RS, only problem is I don't like that whole body kit look the car came with from the factory, which is the main reason why I didn't buy one. But would it be a stupid idea to stick a RS badge on my car once I finish with all my mods? I mean I think it'd be just as fast, just minus that ground effects package. I have my exhaust and intake on it right now (see sig), going to be adding an Eibach Pro Tour suspension kit, NGK spark plugs and spark plug wires, and that cam performance package from Intense Racing (stage 1) with a hypertech chip, we well as 3.73 rear ratios.

So is this a good or bad idea?

EDIT: Reason I posted this in the 4th gen V6 forum is because the RS is a 3.8L.

Its really up to you, there is a guy at my work that has 2-3K in his 3.8 he says it 300HP. He added SS badges to his. I still laugh a little evertime he drives by. I was under the impression the RS package was just cosmedic options. If you dont have the ground effects everyone will know its not an RS.

IMO: be proud of what you built to heck with the badge, "we don't need no stinkingbadges"

RS is just a cosmetic package. There is nothing fast about an RS.

Gorn, yeah that guy with the SS badges is a little over the top.. at least with the RS it has the same engine type as my sixxer. Maybe I will forget about that whole RS badge idea. I've seen some Camaros around with the RS badge though, and they didn't have the ground effects
package. Thats why I thought some came with or without the package.

02StanGT, isn't the stock RS faster than a stock sixxer? Because I could have sworn it came with those magnaflow exhausts from the factory, unless I'm being stupid again.

RS is just an appearance package. The early 4th gens had a 3 piece spoiler, and ground efftects. Same engine, exhaust, etc. But I think things changed in 98, wasn't the SLP RS package that didn't have ground effects?

There was a SLP RS package, but I am not sure what years they were (other than the catfish fronts), and not sure what all they did. 96 and 97 RS was nothing but ground effects, so if anything a stock car would be faster due to less weight. It sure looks cool though.

They are two separate things, though it is possible to have both.
