GIRL IN NEED OF HELP
Yes, a girl in much needed help. Long story short, I've got a 95 camaro 3.4 v6 and I basically bought what I paid for. Apparently I need a new egr valve, and a ac compressor. Could these be the reasons why my car when idled at a red light thrusts forward as if it wants to go. And if at a red light and turning the air conditioning on cuts the car off?
I love my car and really needing advice.

It could be, is your car have any trouble codes on? IE the service engine light. You may want to have the codes checked, AutoZone does this for free. Also I have heard people talk about salvage yard AC compressors, you may save a few bucks, the filling of the freon and labor make it not worth it. hope this gets you started.......SFC

Just wondering how do you know you need to replace those? Btw bad idle can happen from a clogged throtttle body. Or a bad IAC valve. Or you can have a PCV valve stuck open and needs to be replaced. There can be some sort of vacuum leak. And yes, a bad compressor can cause your car to shut down. That you need to replace right away

A few things can cut the a/c on/off. High RPMs, throttle open quite a bit (80-90%), high engine temp, low refrigerant pressure, and low voltage. You can knock the first two out, if it happens at idle.
