Default General 3.4 Info

I am currently writing a university paper in which we must choose one of our possessions to discuss and compare. I have chosen to do my 95 3.4l camaro. I'm looking for information such as where the various parts were produced, cost, disposal processes etc. I have found some info as far as pricing goes, but as for where the various parts were produced I haven't come up with anything. I emailed GM and they told me I would have to go through another source (can't remember the name) due to the age of my car. That source costs 80 dollars for information which I really don't want to spend. I was wondering if anybody has any information at all on this vehicle as far as production goes, I would really appreciate any information I can get. Thanks.

I am surprised GM offers that information at all. They consider Vendors information and Part prices confidential. They really do not want the general public to know how little it costs to buy a part because they tend to triple the price to you at the parts counter. Anyone at the engineering or costing level that has supplied parts to GM must sign a NDA (None Discloser Agreement)
I have seen one of the big 3 charge almost 5X what I was getting for a part over their counter and they still wanted us to cut our price 5% every year.
