Default Gas mileage

Well I just got about 15 mpg on the last 7 gallons of gas... I wouldn't think that's normal for a V6 is it? I've heard people saying they get more like 25. I don't drive it that hard either. What kind of mpg are you guys getting on V6s?

Your car wouldnt be running if your computer were "nuked"... Try changing some small things like the fuel filter and such, if it is extremely bad, there are ways for shops to physically clean the fuel system. There is a place around here where I live that can flush the entire thing, backflush it and physically clean the injectors, if not replace them.

It's not completely nuked... But it's messed up pretty bad. My transmission doesn't shift gears right, it uses insane amounts of fuel. And you think I haven't done all this? I even have a brand new transmission lol. It's got brand new injectors too btw sir. I'm not a noob either

Mine was the exact situation. If you have access to a scan tool then hook it up and see what you get or take it to autozone and they will do it free, Your EGR valves may be bad or just have carbon build up.

Well I can see on the odometer that I've gone 100 miles since my last fill up, and I put a little over 7 gallons in, so therefore I went 100 miles on 7 gallons, 100/7 = 14.28, am I wrong?

This is city driving only, the route I drive has a lot of signals. But still I think it should be better than that... I'll check some of the things mentioned here, thanks

You put 7 in on your last fillup, or did you go 100 miles from fillup and then go fill up the 7 gallons? I was trying to say your wrong, more or less curious if you are filling to full each time you do the gas mileage.

I usually fill up when the tank's half full, so yes, I went 100 miles since my last fillup, then put 7 gallons in which filled it up. So that means I used 7 gallons since my last fillup (I buy about 7 gallons every time.)

You'd be surprised who just gauge their gas mileage by filling up with a couple gallons and driving til the needle gets back to where it was.A littleinaccurate.
