Fuel presure problems
94 3.4 L v-6 engine in a Chevy Luv,
Currently I had to replace the fuelrail, due to a faulty pressure regulator, and now the car will not hold at idle it will start and then die after a few seconds, but if I hold the throttle open it struggles. Checked fuel pressure and it was around 18 psi (usally it was between 22-25psi), checked the fuel line and there is no return from the fuel outlet off of the fuel rail, but plenty for the inlet. Could this be a result of a faulty fuel pump, or from the fuel rail (or the pressure regulator on the fuel rail), I am lost right now and could use some extra help. Thanks

Well, after robbing a fuel pump out of a 3.8L gas tank, and doing a simple swap the problem is no more. Checked the pressure off of the 3.8L pump and it hit well over 60psi, which compared to my dead pump is an improvement.
