Never took one off and can't answer your question but I have been looking at some on ebay. The price range is anywhere from around $70 and up with about a $100 shipping charge. Need to buy one myself but am kinda concerned that they may not be good quality or of the same thickness of the original. Can't imagine why the prices would be so different depending on who is selling them. I have a hard time buying something without taking a look at it.

Stay with OEM. You'll regret the aftermarket. If anything, Try salvage before you try aftermarket.

Did you have to drill the mounting holes or cut anything on it? I need one for a 97, same as the 96. How about the thinkness of the plastic, is it as thick as OEM?

It's GMD by the way.

I just speak from personal Collision repair experience.

I'm not saying you can't "Luck out" with certain manufacturers, but more often then not, they give you hell.

Purchase within your budget.
