I've got a simple Flo-Pro on mine with a set of OEM replacement Z28 Tailpipes and Factory Z28 tips as well. Mine has a factory cat and rumbles very nice. It doesn't drown you out going down the road and when you step on the go peddle it growls nice and agressivly. And i think i have like 150-175 in my set up verses 3 times that much for a borla cat back.
Most all performance mufflers have ones specifically designed for 3rd and 4th gen camaro with an inlet+outlet on one side and a second outlet on the other. Just look them up on the manufacturers website or call your local exhaust shop. One other upside to doing it the way i did is getting to use all the factory hangers. (I stole them off a Z28 in the salvage yard.) SHHHH....

The Borla is T-304 Stainless Steel & has a "million mile warranty", and is almost like having a cutout -- the passenger side is straight-through with no muffler interaction dependent on restrictor plate use. I'm running mine with the smallest hole plate currently -- much improved over the RS exhaust (same muffler/tips as Z/28).
Basically, you get what you pay for, but obviously, get what you can afford.
