Exhaust Help: Couple Questions on Dynomax
Recently purchased this exhaust for my 2000 3.8 V6 didn't think it was too bad a price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...Q5fAccessories
But I want to buy some nice tips for it. Was wondering if anyone would know what size exhaust piping this might be 2.25 maybe 2.50? Tried contacting the seller but he's taking forever to get back to me and still hasn't as I write this. Just figured I'd take a shot in the dark and hope someone might know. Thank you.

From the 2 part numbers of the left and right tailpipe I would say that it might be 2.5 because those part numbers come back for the Camaro SS and Z28 and Firebird Formula and Trans Am. Also the bid says that 2 chrome tips comes with it so you don't need to buy any tips. Depending on where you live and if you drive in a lot of snow in the winter you might want to get stainless steel tips because after a while the chrome tips looks like crap. I have 3" Stainless steel Gibson tips on mine.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I will definately be going with stainless tips I've seen some nice magnaflow ones on ebay. Living in the Northeast snow/salt will be a concern. I plan on having the whole system welded for a nice secure fit does anyone know because it's being welded will 2.25 or 2.50 tips make a difference?? I'm sure it would if I was bolting it up with clamps but if I buy some 2.25 tips and the exhaust ends up being 2.50 or the other way around the exhaust welder should be able to make it work right?? Thanks
