The bad part is there are many possible causes, Bad bearing, streched rod, to much cleance in the wrist pin.
The good part is they are all fixed the same way, Rebuild or replace your motor.

New, used? You going to install it or someone else? You should have a mechanic hear your noise. You don't want to replace you motor to find out you have a cracked flexplate. If you want to see what your in for click on the link in my sig.

update... well still not fixed.. they flushed out my oil and its a lil softer... but they noticed theres a leak somewhere on my engine... gonna swap motors soon.. anyone know where i can find a ls1 or lt1 with not bad shipping to hawaii?
