Default Electric fan

I have a 96 3.8, automatic, The fan does not seem to be coming on. The car tends to get hot while setting at idle. I did the check with the A/C turned up on high. What would be the next thing to check and its location? Temp Sensor? Relay? thanks........1SG

Disconnect the wires from the fan and connect them directly to your battery. If the fan turns then you need to check your fuse, relay and temp sensor.

This is a common question which has been asked and answered many times. But since you don't want to search, try this out.

Thank you for your replies MrFreez, But someone that is "super moderator" could choose not to post on a thread if he has seen it. I know how to search and was simply asking for some more information from fellow Camaro owners. It is very easy for people like Petey to act poorly to people on-line. I highly doubt he would do this to my face........1SG

I hope your day gets better and you get your fan problem fixed typeomag. I haven't been on this forum long, but I frequent many forums and come to realize that people are different online than in person. I tend to not take things too seriously online.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but what you asked about has been answered many many times, and that qestion has gotten old, that is why relies are posted as a sticky. You need to calm down man, but you are welcome to visit any time, and we can handle this face to face, but you have to promise not to cry when your **** is handed back to you in plastic bag.

You do not have to answer any questions at all if it bothers you. That is what is nice about a forum. And I will meet you any time. I vist Erie often. We could set something up.This is now a waste of time to continue to discuss........1SG
