EFI V6 MAP sensor question

My 88 v6 2.8 does not have a MAP sensor. It does have a MAF sensor to measure incoming air, but how does the system measure load without using a MAP? Does it calculate thru the TPS? Thanks in advance.

At WOT the computer uses the MAF and the TPS to compute the load on the engine, and applies and updates the appropriate fuel & spark maps.
