Exclamation Ecu/pcm tuning

So I know tuning has been brought up multiple time on this forum but please bare with me. Why are the only programs for computer tuning like at least $500. That's outrageous! Is there no do it yourself programs for the Camaro that is under $100. My Lancer Evolution/Subaru STI uses the program Ecuflash, which is free! All that is required is a universal OBDII cable ($65) to plug in via my laptop.

I personally don't have a camaro, but a close friend does, and I do Ecu/pcm tuning on OBDII systems, so he asked my help in find a program so I could tune his car.

I there anything out there for this car?!

If you are referring to HPTuners, yes it does 97+ 3.8. Though it has the outrageous price tag he was complaining about. EFI Live doesn't look like it supports the 6 cylinder Camaro.
