Default driveshaft

Ok a guy here is parting out his lt1 camaro and wants 40 bucks for drive shaft and said it fits on v6 is this true and is it worth the swap?

all driveshafts from 93-02 will work. what year is your car? if you have the two piece driveshaft his would help. though alot of folks go with the one piece aluminum from ls1's. lt1 is one piece steel

Its a 97 it is a two piece driveshaft on my car will look at. Price of aluminum one thanks

the steel one isn't bad as it is a one piece and lighter than your current one. the aluminum one is even lighter though. the aluminum ones are usually $100-150.

The guy said if I come get it today its free he wants it gone so lt1 driveshaft it is haha how hard is install

no i heard that the weight and balance is different from the v8 and v6's

Weight would be less, balance is balance. The LS1 light weight alum drive shaft is a common upgrade for the V6's

V6 used a 2-piece supposedly to dampen out vibrations but the one piece works fine. I converted to a 1-piece steel without any issues although I wished I had gone to the aluminum one.
