is the tC the box, or the coupe?
the modern Electronics that make our classic 3800s fast and thrifty nowadays, make a newer car even more efficient and potent.
Some Civics have 194 hp now...

The tc is the coupe.Is your v6 a 3.4 or 3.8?

it's a 3.8. i thought i could take him, but i have 176xxx miles, and it sounded like he had his tuned up a small bit, exhaust and just guessing but cold air. that's what everyone does around here to there little tuner cars. i was gonna race him again, but he'd just beat me, i dominated off the line, but he crept up to me, and when it was over, my front tires were at his door, doin about 115.

b careful out there, dont hurt innocents while racing!

in a close match the driver makes the difference, so yr skill kept it close, perhaps...

hi rpm hp and light weight is the asian car specialty, hence yr quicker launch but his gaining on ya? gearing; is yours stock?

i just have a flowmaster exhaust, so it's basically stock. and yea, i know i drove at my best, it wasn't like i screwed up on launch or when shifting. btw, i didn't think these camaros had that great of a launch, but if done right they're pretty good. i was surprised when i dominated him off the line. i'm gonna be getting a few things done to my car in the next few months(cold air, new plugs, and anything on the inexpensive side right now), so i'll race him again then.

Weight is the key to small displacement speed.
An iron 3800 is big by those standards, but with pushrod valvegear and that flat, fat torque curve, all that is needed is skill sometimes...
BTW, I dont know what thesse world cars get for mileage, but my 3800 5m gets 30 mpg on my commute to DC. I'll give up a couple mpg to drive USA iron, but to me thats good economy...
Plugs and wires are always a great idea; just did mine and whatta difference.
