I've seen this set-up on a LT1 in a SS impala. On a V8 it sounds great....on a 6......mmmmmmmmm?....dunno...

IF it did throw a code, you'd have to have something to reduce air flow... Try it and see if it works with out throwing a code. If it does, just make a block off plate for the second filter that allows it to be installed but non functional.

i still dont really get what throw a code means can u explain it to me and if i do that there wont be permanat dammage ya i think ill try it it might not be for like a month or 2 but wen i do it ill post some pics

It won't damage anything permanently as long as you have the filters on.

throw a code means the SES light will go on...probably if one does get triggered it will be the air/fuel mixture etc...but my CAI didn't throw one, and honestly, that 2 filter setup will be purely for looks and wont get you that much more air

Isn't your CAI made for your car, if not even if you used a cone filter, it can only flow so much air.
