I am about to make a better custom intake More like a mutant. I will show you parts when my camera gets up and running again. But it's going to be awesome It's a k&N intake (unknown model) and I am going to add my own engineering onto it. I cant wait...Im still perfecting piping size as we speak. You guys will be amazed i hope by the time this is done.

My digicam battery is dead so I'll have to wait to upload pics. But basically I have a Plastic K&N intake with a heatshield and a Filter that was used for display purposes from Advance Auto. My buddy is a manager there and put dibs on it. He sold it to me for $20 bucks, its perfect.. He doesn't need it due to the fact he has a Carbed 72 Z28 with a 350 punched either .70 or .80 over pushing abut 650 horsies

Anyways the cool thing about it is that it is hollow but there are no holes, since it wasn't intended to be used, only for show, so basically I am going to cut it out to fit perfectly around the Throttle body. It curves ike the rubber stock intake that connects to the tb but it is wider
I plan on using either plastic piping or aluminum. Is there any difference in using plastic or aluminum piping sound or performance wise?
