^^^agreed. as far as I can tell, all the parts that will need replacing you should be able to find from a junkyard no problem. I'm pretty sure that large horizontal metal piece comes off too, so you can just jack that off a donor car and you're good to go. Good luck with the repairs

 

any news on how to replace the front bumper of a camaro?

 

google "replacing front bumper cover on camaro or fbody" and there are a couple links with pics and everything. Basically, you need to remove the 7 plastic retainers on the top under the hood and a small bolt on each side where it attaches to the rad support and 3 plastic retainers up under the bottom. Then on each side, there are 2 or 3 nuts that need to be removed where the front fender and bumper cover meet. This has to be done up through the bottom where the splash guards are mounted to the bottom of the front bumper cover. Don't forget to unplug the lights from the housings.

 

Definatley still good for repair, get to work and save that FBody

Hmm so its estimated to be around 4 Gs just to fix the front end......Im not sure how smart it would be...

 

I hate to tell you this buddy but there is more than just cosmetic damage there. Check out the first pic and you will see that both the front fenders are pushed over to the right. This is not just something to align (these fenders do not have any alignment in and out just fore/aft, and up/down) If a body shop were to pull it back and nothing else you would prolly be out about $500-$800 just for the labor. Not a bad price and it looks like you didnt mess the hood or fenders up so the body parts are going to be easy to replace. My friends RS experienced a very similar hit and after a little tug the car is fine. We could not find a 96 nose to put on the car so now it sports a 2000 nose. Good luck with getting her fixed. I would repair it if she were mine.

My advice... Don't drive like an idiot =D

 

You can find cars that need motors a lot cheaper then you will fix that. Swap in your motor and trans do a couple of upgrades while your in there. I see cars that "just need head gasket" all the time on craigs list for under $1000. Just get the same year as yours and the motor swap is pretty easy. One weekend maybe two depnding on how many upgrades you do.
Now if your not happy with you motor and tranny it may be time to just let it go.

 

I had just about the same damage on my car, it is a 1996. Believe it or not, I had a friend stand on the brakes, blocked all four wheels, and put my Suburban into four low with a tow rope, took it slowly, and pulled it within a couple of millimeters of factory, then with a block of wood put it to near exact. I couldn't find a 1993 to 1996 hood, so I swapped a 2000 nose onto the car. It was all bolt on except I had to drill four holes. Two for the lower brackets on the newer style headlights, and two for the fenders. Even the electrical plugs were the same. If it were mine I would fix it. I fixed mine including paint for less than 2000.00 with brand new GM fenders, and the rest being used LKQ parts. Nothing was aftermarket. You can't tell it was ever hit.
