A couple questions
I'll start with the more important one: I turned my car off when I got home today and heard the coolant making a bubbling noise. I popped the hood and a small amount of steam was coming from the coolant reservoir. I immediately checked the temperature guage just to confirm that it didn't overheat, because I remember seeing it while driving and it was normal, (I always keep a check on the guages). Anyway, I let the car sit there and idle until the temperature raised to just above the halfway mark, and what happens? Everything's normal. It cools itself back down and doesn't overheat. I turned it off and let the engine cool completely then I checked the coolant. It'sbasically an orange color, looks like rust is in it.Could that have anything to do with it making the bubblingnoise? Either way, I'm getting a coolant flush as soon as I can, I know what's in there can't be healthy.
Now, the other, less importantquestion:
What would be the best size tire for my car? I have stock rims and I'm running on a set of oddball used tires for right now. I'm looking for something with a balance between great performance and long life, and maybe a bit wider than the ones I have on there now.

RE: A couple questions
i would get a flush for the nasty coolant and maybe two different problems could be occuring at the same time, your temp sensor could be bad, and your thermostat may be going bad at the same time how long did you drive it before noticing the steam? the thermostat may be sticking a little bit and its taking longer for the thermostat to open all the way causing you to overheat a little bit. i would start with a coolant flush and see if the problem goes away.

RE: A couple questions
I Def. Agree You Should Flush The Coolant Just To Be Safe....
But IMO Its Not A Big Deal If It Steams.....
Think About It,
You Cars Runs Between 160 and 210 Degrees... Thats Normal......
Boiling Point Of Water Is 212 Degrees.
(I Know Someone Will ***** About The Difference Between Water And Coolant)
This Is Just A Reference.
Bottom Line: IT GETS HOT, ITS GUNNA STEAM.
But IMO Its Not A Big Deal If It Steams.....
